Praise for Love's Funeral

"Quickened by passion and imagination, the body of poems that make up Love's Funeral is astoundingly alive. As Eve Wood says in one of her poems, 'The body would be hollow all the time/to be filled in again and again.'"--Mark Strand

"Having avidly followed Eve Wood's poems, I am delighted to read Love's Funeral. Hers is a poetry of philosophic inquiry, the product of a curious and relentless and original sensibility ever seeking correspondences. And there is yearning here--both spiritual and physical. Eve Wood is a wonderful poet, a powerful maker of arresting images like this one that concludes 'The Hollowness of Things':'...the carcass of a seagull, both eyes gone./Hold it up, and see the sky through its head.'"--Stuart Dischell
